The Chase County Longhorns softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Holyoke Dragons to 2 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Chase County moves its record to 6-16 on the year. The Longhorns host Alliance (Alliance, NE) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Saturday, October 1. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 11-18. Alliance won 14-2 in their recent non-league game against Bayard (Bayard, NE)

In their next game, the Dragons play the Wray/Yuma Eagles (Wray, CO) in a 3A Lower Platte game, on Saturday, October 1. Holyoke will attempt to move on its 9-12 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 5-12 record after their 20-7 league loss to Burlington (Burlington, CO).
