The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Holyoke Dragons (Holyoke, CO) and the host Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE), saw Holyoke's softball squad nip Chase County by a count of 8-7.

The Dragons now sport a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wray/Yuma for a 3A Lower Platte match on Saturday, October 1. Holyoke will face a Eagles squad coming off a 20-7 league loss to Burlington (Burlington, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 5-12.

With the loss, Chase County falls to 6-16 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Alliance (Alliance, NE) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, October 1. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 11-18. Alliance won 14-2 in their recent non-league match against Bayard (Bayard, NE)
