The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA) and the visiting La Salle Lancers (Pasadena, CA), saw Mary Star of the Sea's volleyball squad nip La Salle by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Mary Star of the Sea upgrades its record to 19-5 on the year. The Stars travel to Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA) to play the Knights in a Del Rey bout on Tuesday, October 4. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 14-6.

The Lancers now own a 2-21 record. They play next when they host Bishop Montgomery for a Del Rey bout on Thursday, October 6.
