The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) and the visiting Chestatee War Eagles (Gainesville, GA), observed Lumpkin County's softball team notch a victory over Chestatee by a final score of 10-1.

The Indians (18-8) will now prepare for their bout against Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA). The Tigers go into the 3A Region 6 bout with a 18-7 record. In their last bout, Dawson County beat White County (Cleveland, GA), 16-5, in a league outing.

With the loss, Chestatee moves to 5-15 on the campaign. The War eagles host North Hall (Gainesville, GA) to encounter the Trojans in a 3A Region 6 outing on Tuesday, September 30. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 17-5. North Hall won 5-2 in their recent league test against White County (Cleveland, GA)
