The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Swainsboro Tigers (Swainsboro, GA) and the host Dublin Fighting Irish (Dublin, GA), observed Swainsboro's softball team prevail over Dublin by a tally of 9-0.

The Tigers (12-6) will now prepare for their bout against Toombs County (Lyons, GA). The Bulldogs go into the 1A D-I Region 3 bout with a 15-6 record. In their last bout, Toombs County topped Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA), 9-6, in a league contest.

The Fighting Irish now hold a 10-14 record. They play next when they host Academy for Classical Education for a 1A D-I Region 2 contest on Tuesday, September 30. Dublin will face a Gryphons squad coming off a 3-2 league win over East Laurens (East Dublin, GA). The Gryphons record now stands at 18-9.
