The Estill County Engineers soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Boyd County Lions to 1 in the Engineers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Engineers now hold a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Rowan County for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 5. Estill County will play a Vikings squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Mason County (Maysville, KY). The Vikings record now stands at 6-3.
With the loss, Boyd County moves to 4-2 on the year. The Lions travel to Russell (Russell, KY) to play the Red Devils in a District 63 bout on Thursday, September 5. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Russell lost 5-1 in their recent non-league bout against Minford (Minford, OH)
