Kentucky High School Volleyball - Metcalfe County crushed by Russell County

In Tuesday's league match, the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) volleyball squad overcame the host Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Lakers battle the Washington County Commanders (Springfield, KY) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, September 4. Russell County will attempt to move on its 8-4 season record. The Commanders enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Spencer County (Taylorsville, KY).

The Hornets (4-5) will now prepare for their match against Clinton County (Albany, KY). The Bulldogs enter the District 16 match with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Clinton County was topped by Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY), 3-2, in a league outing.
