Kentucky High School Volleyball - Russell County over Metcalfe County

In Monday's league challenge, the host Russell County Lakers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Metcalfe County Hornets.

The Lakers (16-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Wayne County (Monticello, KY). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 10-4 record. In their last battle, Wayne County achieved victory over Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Hornets now own a 10-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Campbellsville for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 3. Metcalfe County will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Adair County (Columbia, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 3-17.
