The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA) and the visiting Savannah Christian Raiders (Savannah, GA), observed Islands's softball team prevail over Savannah Christian by a tally of 11-0.
The Sharks (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Jenkins (Savannah, GA). The Warriors go into the 3A Region 3 bout with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, Jenkins was routed by Long County (Ludowici, GA), 15-0, in a league contest.
The Raiders now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Swainsboro for a 1A D-I Region 3 contest on Tuesday, September 9. Savannah Christian will face a Tigers squad coming off a 19-1 non-league win over Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-3.
