The Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA) softball the visiting Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 6-2 in Wednesday's league outing.
The Dragons now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Hall for a 3A Region 8 outing on Thursday, September 4. Jefferson will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 18-0 non-league loss to East Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-4.
The Purple Hurricanes (8-4) will now prepare for their test against East Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Vikings go into the 3A Region 8 test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, East Hall held off West Hall (Oakwood, GA), 18-0, in a non-league test.
