Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Homewood Patriots (Homewood, AL), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hoover upgrades its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Spain Park (Hoover, AL) to meet the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 4. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Spain Park lost 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL)

Next, the Patriots meet the Chelsea Hornets (Chelsea, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Homewood will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Sylacauga (Sylacauga, AL).
