The crowd at Friday's league bout between the West Warriors (Torrance, CA) and the host Lawndale Cardinals (Lawndale, CA), saw West's volleyball squad beat Lawndale by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, West upgrades its record to 14-7 on the year. The Warriors travel to Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Sunday, October 2. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 14-6.

The Cardinals now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Leuzinger for a non-league bout on Monday, October 3. Lawndale will play a Olympians squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Inglewood (Inglewood, CA). The Olympians record now stands at 11-5.
