Next up, the Mustangs face the Hawkins Hawks (Hawkins, TX) in a 2A Region III District 19 contest, on Tuesday, October 4. Overton will attempt to better on its 19-12 season record. The Hawks go into the contest with a 16-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Beckville (Beckville, TX).

With the loss, Union Grove moves to 8-16 on the year. The Lions travel to Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 2A Region III District 19 contest on Tuesday, October 4. The Wildcats go into the contest with a record of 6-16. Big Sandy lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Carlisle (Price, TX)
