Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC), 3-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Manteo moves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to Perquimans (Hertford, NC) to meet the Pirates in a non-league test on Thursday, October 3. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 0-9. Perquimans lost 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Albemarle School (Elizabeth City, NC)

The Eagles now sport a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they host Currituck County for a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A test on Wednesday, October 2. Northeastern will meet a Knights team coming off a 10-1 league win over Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC). The Knights record now stands at 8-4.
