Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Callaway Chargers (Jackson, MS) and the host Murrah Mustangs (Jackson, MS), observed Callaway's volleyball team top Murrah by a count of 3-0.

The Chargers (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Columbus (Columbus, MS). The Falcons enter the Class 6A Region 2 contest with a 10-14 record. In their last contest, Columbus was knocked off by Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Mustangs battle the Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS) in a Class 7A Region 2 contest, on Tuesday, October 1. Murrah will attempt to move on its 4-15 season record. The Golden Wave enter the contest with a 19-16 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Regents (Oxford, MS).
