In Tuesday's league bout, the Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) volleyball team knocked off the host Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC), by a margin of 3-0.
The Stallions now possess a 6-14 record. They play next when they host Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy for a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A bout on Thursday, October 2. Queen's Grant will clash with a Gryphons squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC). The Gryphons record now stands at 12-6.
The Comets (3-13) will now prepare for their match against Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC). The Mariners go into the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A battle with a 14-5 record. In their last battle, Jackson Day achieved victory over The Math and Science Academy of Charlotte - Concord Campus (Charlotte, NC), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
