The Springfield Tigers volleyball squad (New Middletown, OH), dropped 3-1 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Mineral Ridge Rams (Mineral Ridge, OH)

With the win, Mineral Ridge improves its record to 14-3 on the year. The Rams host Memorial (Campbell, OH) to battle the Red Devils in a Mahoning Valley Athletic - Scarlet contest on Thursday, October 2. The Red Devils enter the contest with a record of 17-1. Memorial won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Jackson-Milton (North Jackson, OH)

Next, the Tigers battle the Waterloo Vikings (Atwater, OH) in a Mahoning Valley Athletic - Scarlet battle, on Thursday, October 2. Springfield will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Vikings go into the battle with a 4-13 record after their 3-0 league loss to McDonald (McDonald, OH).
