Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Lions (13-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Texas (Texarkana, TX). The Tigers come into the 5A Region II District 10 challenge with a 19-15 record. In their last challenge, Texas beat Lufkin (Lufkin, TX), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Dragons meet the Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 challenge, on Friday, October 3. Nacogdoches will attempt to upgrade on its 7-22 season record. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a 22-12 record after their 3-0 league win over Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX).
