Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Alpena Leopards (Alpena, AR), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Izard County (Brockwell, AR). The Cougars enter the 2A 2 test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Izard County was defeated by Cotter (Cotter, AR), 3-0, in a league test.

The Leopards now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cotter for a 2A 2 test on Tuesday, September 9. Alpena will face a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Izard County (Brockwell, AR). The Warriors record now stands at 6-0.
