In Thursday's non-league outing, the visiting Muhlenberg County Mustangs volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats.

The Mustangs now have a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ohio County for a District 10 outing on Tuesday, September 9. Muhlenberg County will play a Eagles team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Trinity (Whitesville, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Franklin-Simpson drops to 0-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Barren County (Glasgow, KY) to confront the Trojans in a non-league game on Friday, September 5. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 7-4. Barren County won 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Butler County (Morgantown, KY)
