The Yorktown Patriots volleyball team (Arlington, VA), was nudged 3-2 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA)

The Statesmen (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Generals enter the Liberty challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Washington-Liberty nipped McLean (McLean, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Patriots meet the Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) in a Liberty challenge, on Thursday, September 7. Yorktown will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Saxons enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to James Madison (Vienna, VA).
