The South Effingham Mustangs overwhelmed the visiting Brunswick Pirates softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs meet the Brunswick Pirates (Brunswick, GA) in a 5A Region 1 challenge, on Friday, September 6. South Effingham will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Pirates go into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 14-0 league loss to Statesboro (Statesboro, GA).
The Pirates (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against South Effingham (Guyton, GA). The Mustangs go into the 5A Region 1 challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, South Effingham toppled Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA), 17-0, in a league challenge.
