The Riverwood Raiders softball squad (Sandy Springs, GA), was routed 6-1 in Thursday's league contest with the host River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA)

With the triumph, River Ridge improves its record to 6-8 on the year. The Knights host Sprayberry (Marietta, GA) to face the Yellow Jackets in a 5A Region 6 contest on Tuesday, September 10. The Yellow Jackets go into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Sprayberry lost 15-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Carrollton (Carrollton, GA)

The Raiders (8-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Creekview (Canton, GA). The Grizzlies go into the 5A Region 6 challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Creekview was routed by Woodstock (Woodstock, GA), 3-2, in a league challenge.
