The Essex Hornets topped the visiting Champlain Valley Union Redhawks volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Thursday's league game.
Next up, the Hornets confront the Niskayuna Silver Warriors (Niskayuna, NY) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 7. Essex will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Silver Warriors go into the game with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (Burnt Hills, NY).
The Redhawks (1-1) will now prepare for their game against South Burlington (South Burlington, VT). The Wolves go into the Northern game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, South Burlington was dropped by Colchester (Colchester, VT), 3-0, in a non-league game.
