The Butler Bulldogs felled the visiting Becton Wildcats football team by a score of 27-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Hawthorne Bears (Hawthorne, NJ) in a North Jersey - Meadowlands test, on Friday, September 12. Butler will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Bears come into the test with a 2-0 record after their 25-12 non-league win over Wallington (Wallington, NJ).

With the defeat, Becton drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, NJ) to meet the Crusaders in a North Jersey - Colonial test on Friday, September 12. The Crusaders come into the test with a record of 0-2. Elmwood Park lost 51-0 in their recent non-league test against Wood-Ridge (Wood-Ridge, NJ)
