The Houston County Bears softball squad (Warner Robins, GA), was routed 9-2 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Colquitt County Packers (Norman Park, GA)

The Packers (5-9) will now prepare for their match against Northside (Columbus, GA). The Patriots go into the non-league match with a 9-1 record. In their last match, Northside tipped Starr's Mill (Fayetteville, GA), 6-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Troup County Tigers (LaGrange, GA) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 5. Houston County will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 4-9 record after their 9-1 league loss to Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA).
