In Tuesday's league contest, the Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA) softball team overwhelmed the host Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA), by a tally of 8-0.

The Lions now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hart County for a 3A Region 8 challenge on Thursday, September 8. Franklin County will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 11-1 league loss to Monroe Area (Monroe, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-3.

In their next game, the Warriors play the Hebron Christian Academy Lions (Dacula, GA) in a 3A Region 8 contest, on Thursday, September 8. Oconee County will attempt to move on its 4-9 season record. The Lions come into the contest with a 6-6 record after their 5-4 league win over Stephens County (Toccoa, GA).
