Sublette Larks (Sublette, KS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Deerfield Spartans (Deerfield, KS), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Larks (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Oakley (Oakley, KS). The Plainsmen enter the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Oakley beat Plainville (Plainville, KS), 2-0, in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Syracuse for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. Deerfield will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Weskan (Weskan, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
