Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Deerfield Spartans (Deerfield, KS) and the host Sublette Larks (Sublette, KS), observed Deerfield's volleyball team hold off Sublette by a tally of 2-1.

The Spartans (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Kinsley (Kinsley, KS). The Coyotes enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Kinsley tipped Kiowa County (Greensburg, KS), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Larks now own a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lakin for a Hi-Plains test on Tuesday, September 9. Sublette will encounter a Broncs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Ulysses (Ulysses, KS). The Broncs record now stands at 2-1.
