The Tharptown Wildcats were victorious over the visiting Sheffield Bulldogs volleyball team by a tally of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Wildcats now have a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Belgreen for a 2A Area 14 outing on Tuesday, September 9. Tharptown will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Cherokee (Cherokee, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Sheffield drops to 0-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Phil Campbell (Phil Campbell, AL) to play the Bobcats in a 3A Area 15 game on Tuesday, September 9. The Bobcats go into the game with a record of 0-10. Phil Campbell lost 3-0 in their recent league game against Colbert Heights (Tuscumbia, AL)
