The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) and the host Pocahontas County Warriors (Dunmore, WV), saw James Monroe's soccer squad get by Pocahontas County by a margin of 3-2.

The Mavericks now sport a 5-0 record. They play next when they host Bluefield for a Coalfield AA test on Tuesday, September 12. James Monroe will meet a Beavers squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV). The Beavers record now stands at 3-4.
