The Roosevelt Roughriders volleyball team (Portland, OR), was nudged 3-2 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Franklin Quakers (Portland, OR)

The Quakers (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Jefferson (Portland, OR). The Democrats enter the 6A Portland Interscholastic challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Jefferson was nudged by Wells (Portland, OR), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Roughriders meet the Grant Generals (Portland, OR) in a 6A Portland Interscholastic challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Roosevelt will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Generals enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Wilsonville (Wilsonville, OR).
