Armuchee Indians (Rome, GA) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they witnessed their softball team tip the host Mt. Zion Eagles (Mt. Zion, GA), 9-4 in a non-league match.

The Indians (7-6) will now prepare for their match against Chattooga (Summerville, GA). The Indians come into the 1A D-I Region 7 match with a 6-4 record. In their last match, Chattooga nipped Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA), 6-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Trion Bulldogs (Trion, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 7 match, on Tuesday, September 9. Mt. Zion will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 6-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Dade County (Trenton, GA).
