The Helias Crusaders volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Blair Oaks Falcons to 0 in the Crusaders non-league victory on Saturday.
The Crusaders now have a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Capital City for a game on Monday, September 11. Helias will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Helias (Jefferson City, MO). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-1.
The Falcons (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Fatima (Westphalia, MO). The Comets enter the non-league game with a 3-5 record.
Match Summary
After a tough 3 Set loss in the Simi-Final, the Helias Lady Crusader's would come back strong i n the 3rd Place match vs. the Blair Oaks Lady Falcons. Helias would take the 1st Set 25-16 scoring 25 points off serve with 2 Aces, had 14 kills, 1 Block and 27 Digs. In the 2nd Set Helias would out last the Lady Falcons to take the match win 25-22. Helias would score 11 points off serve with 3 Aces, had 9 kills, 1 Block and 23 Digs. Helias went 5 -1 in Matches on the day taking 3rd place in the 12 Team Freshmen Tournament.
