The crowd at Tuesday's league test between the West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC) and the visiting Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC), saw West Iredell's volleyball squad nudge Bunker Hill by a score of 3-2.
With the win, West Iredell improves its record to 5-5 on the season. The Warriors host Foard (Newton, NC) to face the Tigers in a Western Foothills 4A/5A test on Thursday, September 11. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Foard lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Watauga (Boone, NC)
Next, the Bears meet the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) in a Western Foothills 4A/5A challenge, on Thursday, September 11. Bunker Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Red Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over North Iredell (Olin, NC).
