Greenbrier West Cavaliers (Charmco, WV) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cavaliers (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Wyoming East beat Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Pocahontas County Warriors (Dunmore, WV) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 9. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Warriors come into the outing with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to East Hardy (Baker, WV).
