Texas High School Volleyball - McAllen can't hold off Pioneer

September 9, 2025: McAllen, TX 78501

In Tuesday's league match, the Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX) volleyball squad tipped the host McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX), by a count of 3-2.

Next up, the Diamondbacks battle the Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 match, on Saturday, September 13. Pioneer will attempt to move on its 21-3 season record. The Rattlers enter the match with a 17-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX).

The Bulldogs (19-10) will now prepare for their battle against Vela (Edinburg, TX). The Sabercats go into the 5A Region IV District 31 battle with a 22-6 record. In their last battle, Vela tipped McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX), 3-1, in a league battle.
