Match Summary
Versus the AGC varsity squad, we faced a team that had solid defense and passing skills, as well as a hitting game that was solid and rhythmic. We've been working on our hitting defense, and it showed up in this match, with many digs scored. The Phoenix brought in a fantastic serving game once again, as well as play-making ability. Jr. Marissa Walker made a solid debut as secondary Varsity setter, spelling Kimber Herman to feed the ball to our hitters and cover the net throughout the match. Unfortunately, our Achilles heel of serve-receive continues to be an issue for our team. Too many serve-receive mistakes, along with a hard-working but tiring team, ultimately helped lead to our defeat in 4 sets.
