Mercer Island came into Friday's   contest looking for another win against Inglemoor, but  Peyton Mrsny wouldn't allow it. The Vikings enjoyed a cozy  50-31 win over the Islanders on Friday with plenty of help from  Mrsny, who rushed for 198 yards and four  scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 59 yards.
 Inglemoor didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Zachary Eubanks.  Sam Dale was another major factor on D,  picking up  two  sacks and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Despite the  loss, Mercer Island saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Kainoa Brown rushed for 48 yards and three  TDs, and also picked up 111 receiving yards.  Dillon Carroll was another key player, having thrown for 273 yards.

The  victory (which was Inglemoor's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. The  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 39.2 points over those games. As for Mercer Island, they now  have a losing record of 3-4.
 Inglemoor wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  27-7  defeat against Renton on the 24th. As for Mercer Island, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  35-28  loss against Redmond on the 24th.
