Softball Recap: Platte County Wins Going Away Against Pleasant Hill

Platte County lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pleasant Hill, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Pirates put the hurt on the Roosters/Chicks with a sharp 13-4 victory on Saturday. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered a 4-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win got Platte County back to even at 1-1. As for Pleasant Hill, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Platte County will head out to take on Ruskin at 4:00 p.m. on the 8th. As for Pleasant Hill, they have already played their next game, an 8-7 victory against Fort Osage on the 30th.
