Softball Recap: Lithia Springs Comes Up Short

Lithia Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-0 to the South Paulding Spartans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Thursday.

Lithia Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for South Paulding, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lithia Springs is set to take on their familiar foe Villa Rica at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Paulding will face off against rival Rome at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th.
