Softball Recap: Fayette County Takes a Loss

Fayette County came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the LaGrange Grangers by a score of 11-9 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since August 14th.

T Jordan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Fayette County has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for LaGrange, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayette County will welcome Troup County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
