For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Nimitz and Lake Highlands meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Wildcats.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 25-2.

Meanwhile, Berkner had to endure a four-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Irving on Friday.

While Berkner won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-22.

Nimitz's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Berkner, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 10-17.
