Bloom came tearing into Thursday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Thornwood Thunderbirds. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 15-0 win on Wednesday.

Nemesio Nardi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Bloom got a big performance out of Tyron Poole, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Daniel Williams was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Bloom's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Thornwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17-1 record this season.

Bloom does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thornwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bulls College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
