Softball Recap: Cherry Creek Has No Trouble Against Brighton

Cherry Creek lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Brighton, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Bruins put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 12-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won 11 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Cherry Creek got a big performance out of Harper Bostock, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Molly Seedorf was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Cherry Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are 9-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Cherry Creek's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Brighton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season.

Cherry Creek didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against Pueblo West on the 17th. Brighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
