Heritage Christian won the last time they faced Lyons and things went their way on Saturday too. The Heritage Christian Eagles secured a 52-46 W over the Lyons Lions. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Heritage Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Levi Hermsen, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 16 points and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Hermsen a new career-high in blocks (two). David Kubie was another key player, putting up six points in addition to eight assists and seven rebounds.

Hermsen wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Heritage Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They racked up six more assists than Lyons' also-impressive total of 13.

Lyons' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zeke Paznokas, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 16 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Zack LaCrosse, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Heritage Christian's record now sits at 15-8. As for Lyons, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Heritage Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-32 win against Ridgway on the 7th. As for Lyons, they have also already played their next game, a 62-55 defeat against St. Mary's on the 7th.
