Softball Recap: Telfair County Takes a Loss

Telfair County had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 11-10 to make it four. They fell just short of the Bleckley County Royals by a score of 2-1. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 13-1 to the Royals when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Telfair County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nala Parsons, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As for Bleckley County, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games.

On Bleckley County's side, Emmie Williams made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Williams has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in August of 2024.

Coming up, Telfair County will take on Tiftarea Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. Bleckley County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
