MaxPreps Top 25 high school football scores: Julian Lewis leads No. 17 Carrollton to 54-14 win over Harrison in Georgia AAAAAAA playoffs

Class of 2026 standout quarterback Julian Lewis put on a clinic in No. 17 Carrollton's (Ga.) 54-14 win over Harrison (Kennesaw) in the first round of the AAAAAAA playoffs. He went into halftime completing 12 of 14 passes for 377 yards and six scores. The top-rated recruit in the Class of 2026 barely played in the second half and finished with 435 yards and a school-record seven touchdowns.

The Trojans will face Valdosta in the second round next Friday. They beat Archer (Lawrenceville) 41-16.

The MaxPreps Game of the Week was in the same playoff bracket as No. 11 Colquitt County (Moultrie) improved to 11-0 with a dominant 51-25 win over Parkview (Lilburn). Four-star Miami commit Ny Carr set the tone early with two touchdown receptions as the Packers were in control the entire night. Up next for Colquitt is Westlake (Atlanta) after they took down Marietta 34-15.

The other three MaxPreps Top 25 teams in Georgia's AAAAAAA bracket rolled. No. 8 Mill Creek (Hoschton) beat Osborne (Marietta) 42-17, No. 12 Walton (Marietta) cruised to a 66-7 victory over Mountain View (Lawrenceville), and No. 16 Buford shutout Wheeler (Marietta) 50-0.

Senior quarterback Isaac Wilson continued to build his resume when it comes to being among the short list of candidates for the 2023 MaxPreps National Player of the Year. He went into halftime completing 10 of 13 passes for 291 yards and three touchdowns to go with 101 yards rushing. Wilson finished with 552 yards of total offense and four scores.

The 2024 Utah commit led Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah) to a 63-24 win over Lehi in the UHSAA 6A semifinals. Junior running back Bryton Brady tied a state playoff record accounting for seven total touchdowns. The Chargers will face Skyridge (Lehi) in the state championship next Friday.

No. 14 Massillon (Ohio) and No. 23 St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) both won big to advance to the state quarterfinals. The Tigers beat Lake (Uniontown) 35-6 in the Division II bracket. They will face Green (Uniontown) next Friday. The Eagles beat McKinley (Canton) 41-17 in the Division 1 field. The back-to-back defending state champs will take on Medina with a spot in the state semifinals on the line.

The CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs got underway on Friday and all four MaxPreps Top 25 teams cruised to wins.

No. 3 St. John Bosco (Bellflower) beat San Clemente 35-10 after trailing 10-0 midway through the second quarter. No. 5 Mater Dei (Santa Ana) blanked JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano) 38-0. No. 19 Centennial (Corona) took down Orange Lutheran (Orange) 63-39. No. 21 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth) knocked off Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita) 37-20.
