Baseball Recap: Fieldcrest Takes a Loss

Fieldcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tri-Valley Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in April.

Fieldcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Tri-Valley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 19-12-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fieldcrest will face off against Peoria Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tri-Valley, they will challenge Rantoul at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
