On Friday, Walter Johnson earned a 27-20 victory over Wootton. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Jake Forburger was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 277 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 34 yards.

Meanwhile, Seneca Valley fell victim to Quince Orchard and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a blow against the Cougars, falling 49-0. The Screamin' Eagles have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Seneca Valley's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Walter Johnson, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Walter Johnson suffered a grim 41-20 defeat to Seneca Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 27-7.
